Beginners yoga

Our beginners’ 5 week courses are a balanced combination of sustained poses with attention to basic alignment and therapeutic principals. This style of yoga provides a great stretch and strengthens the body while encouraging students to calm the mind. This 5 week course will introduce you to this therapeutic ancient practice that will aid you to de-stress, relax, feel healthier and more energetic. These courses are to be booked through Gemma. Hatha yoga & Stretch – All levels

During our Hatha yoga and stretch classes the postures are held for longer which will aim to increase flexibility and encourage a feeling of release from worries and stress. This class is a great way to learn the correct alignment of some postures and the basic techniques to still the mind for meditation or relaxation

 

Gentle Hatha – All levels

This class is aimed for those who require a much slower class with a more restorative approach to yoga. Today, Hatha is most often used to describe gentle, basic yoga classes with no flow between poses. Expect a slower-paced stretching-focused class with some basic pranayama breathing exercises and perhaps a seated meditation at the end. This class is great for those looking to move their bodies in a more restorative and gentle approach

 

Vinyasa flow yoga – All levels

Vinyasa, also called flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together, is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga. In this class we focus on sun salutations linking breath to movement and linking postures together

 

Yin yoga – All levels

A Yin yoga class usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer.

 

Power yoga and abs – intermediate

This class offers a unique workout. Our Power Yoga classes are dynamic, fun and energising with funky music & good vibes. Power yoga is a vigorous fitness-based approach to vinyasa style yoga. Expect lots of dynamic drills and sweat!

 

Creative flow yoga – Intermediate

Creative flow is a class which will inspire & guide students to find a deeper sense of self through the integration of body, breath & mind. This class will encourage students to express through movement and at times within the sequence to self-practice.

This Vinyasa style class is open to the teacher’s personality and expression so expect a wide spectrum of Yoga styles with each class having a very personal aspect.

Students must have some prior practice before attending this class

 

Yoga and Meditation – 90minutes

Come and Join us for the last Sunday of the month where we will take a 60-minute Hatha sequence and a 30-minute guided mediation to bring yourself into a beautiful blissful state ready to welcome in the new week and month ahead. Setting intentions and finding clarity as we close into stillness

 

Yin & Yang Yoga

Yin Yang yoga blends two styles of yoga into one practice – bringing together the benefits of passively holding yoga poses with dynamic sequencing to bring together all energy centres. Yin yoga is long held poses to encourage our bodies natural healing process to enhance, and Yang is the flowing sequence of poses that build energy, flexibility and warmth. This class will provide you with movement and stillness.

 

Mindful Movement Yoga

This class is where we spend time linking mobility, stretches and asana flow to bring the perfect combination of a full body check in. This class is suitable for all levels and great for those wanting to get to know their body better.

 

Sunday Yoga

Our Sunday yoga class is 90minutes long where we spend time after our physical practice in a state of relaxation during a guided meditation. This class is where we set new intentions for the week and get clear on our goals.

 

Brunchtime yoga

Perfect for those wanting to practice late morning/early afternoon. If you are at your desk and need a good stretch before diving into your working afternoon, then come and see us at brunch for some classical yoga. All levels welcome, perfect for beginners too.
